An Ending and a new Beginning

As we approach the New Year, I would like to share some thoughts with you.

The Christmas song ‘Santa Claus is coming to town’ gives me the anticipatory feeling of something good coming, which I will try and incorporate into my feelings for the coming year. To expand on this theme, I will also try to remember that ‘all things are possible’ concentrating on positive things and people coming into my life, (as with the Santa song!) and try to dismiss anything that is contrary to making my life a good one.

As the Universal law of attraction brings us what we think about the most, it is really beneficial to concentrate on what we DO want, and NOT on what we DON’T want. Still a message I need to remember at times.

The numbers of the New Year adds up to 9, which in numerology is the last number in the cycle, meaning the ending of a cycle before a new beginning. In Tarot numerology, the 9th card of the Major cards is the Hermit. He shines his lantern upon the narrow road he is walking.

One of the meanings behind this card is that once you have found your own pathway through life, you can help others by shining the ‘lantern light’ of your knowledge for them, to help them, so that they may also find their own way forward too.

This card also speaks of discovery of personal purpose. Reflection, prudence, planning, forethought, and circumspection. Maybe the need for some quiet time to evaluate what is going on in our lives and not take rash action at this time. A knee jerk reaction is an ego lead one.

If you are like me, and want things to happen quickly, with the ‘yesterday would have been good’ type of attitude, then the quote below is a good reminder that all things happen in the right time and space and sequence, however frustrating it is to have to wait for things to move on.

A Buddhist quote:

‘Don’t push the river, (the river of time) it will travel at its own speed anyway‘ meaning rather than splashing around impotently, thrashing against the current, just go with the flow.

I have two books that I would like to publish, but have a strong feeling that it is time to wait. I also have a lot of craft work waiting to be sold, but intuitively I feel that 2025 is a year when these things will move along for me. So, the lesson is there for me, too.

I am also making a promise to myself that I will nourish my spirit in the coming year, finding things to delight in, like the beauty of my roses in the garden. Anything that can make us feel uplifted and in better spirits can have a beneficial effect on others too.

In finishing, I wish you all a very happy, healthy and wealthy New Year. However, if you find this season difficult, I hope you get through it easily. With love to all.
